Favorite movies by release year
One of the fun things about this format is just how many items one can include on their list. There are like... a lot of movie years. And therein lies the downside of the format—fleshing it out. In the case of this particular list, there are plenty of bare spots, but that doesn't bother me; the empties offer hope of one day being filled with something cherished. What irks me is that there are some years that feature movies that I merely like, and it feels wrong to elevate them to the same level as the ones I love.
So, how to resolve this anxiety? Heck if I know. I've just made judgement calls.
